Job description: Seven Healtcare are seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) / Support Workers for our healthcare team located in Diss, UK. The role would involve providing indispensable aid to clients with different healthcare needs while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting patients with day-to-day tasks, such as eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and mobility.
2. Accompanying patients to medical appointments or outdoor activities while ensuring their safety.
3. Implementing individual care plans and providing emotional support to patients as needed.
4. Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behaviour, or emotions of the patients.
5. Assisting the nursing staff in medical procedures and administering medication as instructed.
6. Maintaining a clean and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
7. Non-intrusive observation of patients for signs of discomfort or deterioration in their health.
8. Ensuring the privacy, dignity and comfort of patients at all times.
9. Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic and effective patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker preferred.
2. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards the same.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
4. Ability to deal with emotionally charged situations and preserve patient dignity.
5. Physical fitness to aid in the mobility of patients.
6. Understanding of safety regulations and sanitation.
7. Current DBS check.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
9. Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
