Arsenal picked a hard-fought 3-1 win over Southampton to keep the pressure on title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Gunners had to come from behind after Cameron Archer stunned them with a 55th-minute opener, but quick responses from Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka ensured a vital three points.
Southampton’s Archer capitalized on a defensive lapse to give the Saints a shock lead, but it didn’t last long.
Havertz equalized just three minutes later, continuing his hot streak at the Emirates with a calm finish.
Arsenal’s persistence paid off again in the 68th minute when super-sub Martinelli put the hosts ahead, converting a Saka cross.
Saka then capped off a brilliant individual performance with a goal in the 88th minute, sealing the win for the Gunners.
