Nigerian rapper and singer-songwriter Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has labelled GTBank the “worst bank in Nigeria amid VeryDarkMan saga.
The statement was made in a post he shared on his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), amid the ongoing controversy involving the EFCC, GTBank, and influencer VeryDarkMan.

Skales‘ post came after reports that VeryDarkMan was arrested at GTBank’s premises following an alleged delay, sparking criticism from his supporters.
In his post, Skales shared a personal experience involving his late mother, claiming that GTBank had frequently made unauthorized deductions from her salary account.
He said that he had to personally compensate her for these losses, convincing her not to pursue the issue.
Skales further alleged that the bank mishandled her account until her retirement.
He wrote: “GTB @gtbank is a horrible bank… the worst bank in Nigeria. I wish my late mom was alive to tell you what they did to her salary… how her money was lost, and I had to beg her by compensating her because she wouldn’t quit her job until she retired… do not bank with GTBank.”
His post has since sparked widespread reactions, with many users taking to the comments section to share similar complaints and experiences.

@BDraugur: “I firmly believe they’ve retired from banking. I started banking with them in 2006. Unfortunately, that relationship is coming to an end. It was fun while it lasted, just a huge shame how they fell off.”
@plato_vince: “My account still reads minus till date because I woke up one morning to a debit alert of 300k from my account. After all back and forth, they keep insisting I bought something online. When they realised that wasn’t working, the lady said it was a delayed debit. Debit by who??”
@samuelfinder: “Waseere speak up. @ZenithBank also na one useless bank. After the death of my father this people removed money from. His account after we try withdrawing money.”
