A 20-year-old groom identified as Auwal Abdulwahab, has been arrested alongside his three friends by the Jigawa State Police Command for engaging in a forced marathon sex with his wife.
According to the spokesperson of the command, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam the incident happened on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at about 10pm in Tungo village, Albasu District in Sule Tankarkar local Government.
The police disclosed that the husband of the deceased orchestrated the incident before the day of their wedding.
Also, reports say that the wife of the man refused to have any sexual relations with her groom until marriage.
According to him, “the groom is alleged to have conspired with his three friends namely Nura Basiru, Muttaka Lawan and Hamisu Musa, entered into their matrimonial home with the intention of coercing his bride into non-consensual s£xual activity, while in the process, the said wife d!ed.”
The police reportedly evacuated the corpse after their attention were drawn to the Gumel General Hospital for medical examination and the doctor on call confirmed her death.
The body of the victim has been released to the parents of the lady for burial.
