A former officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Oluwaseyi, has opened up about the biggest mistake of his life that led to a dramatic fall from financial stability to hardship.

In a roadside interview with popular content creator Yomilistens, the dismissed officer shared a candid reflection on how poor decisions and misplaced trust turned his fortunes around for the worse. According to him, 17 to 18 years ago, he was earning up to N30,000 daily and saving N20,000 from it consistently.

With a monthly income of around N460,000, Oluwaseyi said he invested in two commercial buses and a car for business. However, the business eventually crumbled due to mismanagement by friends he had entrusted with the operations.

Oluwaseyi also detailed how his professional career as a LASTMA officer came to an abrupt end due to his own failings, specifically, drinking while on duty at Bolade-Oshodi. His consistent misconduct eventually led to his dismissal.

When asked if he regrets the path his life has taken, the former officer who now works as a security man admitted he does, expressing deep remorse and sharing that he now uses his past experiences as cautionary tales for his children.
