Some residents of Ibadan, Oyo State, reported an explosion in parts of the state capital on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
There were also online videos showing a dusty cloud, along with burning houses and cars.
According to Punch News, A University of Ibadan student said, “It is true. We all heard the sound, and it was very loud. The cloud is filled with smoke. It happened at Bodija, and we in the UI area could see the smoke. Even those at Sango and Ojo heard the sound. In fact, we are all in a room scared for our lives.”
A Twitter user, @WillieWinehouse, tweeted, “A FUCKING BOMB JUST EXPLODED IN IBADAN! MY ENITRE HOUSE AND STREET IS IN RUINS!!!! WHAT Is GOING ON!”
