Job Description
We are looking to add an experienced Enterprise Account Executive (AE) to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Enterprise Account Executive will be in a semi-full cycle role, taking discovery calls to closed won deals. They will work with a range of buyers in varying functional areas: E-commerce, Marketing, Productivity, and Security/Identity Management, but will primarily focus on IT and Development Operations (DevOps) buyers, selling to the office of the CIO/CISO/CTO.
Our AE team is supported by a Sales Development (SDR) function that turns free trials and other inbound leads into opportunities. We generate a substantial amount of pipeline through our SaaS marketplace listings ( , , , etc.), but the Enterprise Account Executive will need to supplement this by generating additional opportunities to ensure they exceed quota.
Prospecting into their current customer base and deploying an outbound strategy to generate interest from net new accounts will be critical to the Enterprise Account Executive’s success. There is a massive opportunity to capitalize on specific cloud migration shifts ( ) that are currently underway in the market. For the right person, the potential to capitalize on this moment in time is limitless.
Responsibilities
- Drive net new revenue for the business
- Cross-sell newly signed customers within a defined time period after closing
- Manage the sales process from discovery through closing steps (Infosec, Legal, etc.)
- Generate interest from other key decision makers, within different functional areas of a prospect/customer’s organization, to help grow opportunities
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering to deliver best in class demos and guided testing
- Generate pipeline from both warm and cold prospecting efforts
- Keep your deals updated daily in our CRM (Salesforce)
- Support the Product team as you receive feedback from prospects to align with product strategy and direction
- Engage our Partnerships team to support co-selling through agencies/MSPs
- Attend industry events and meet larger customers, on-site, as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS and consistent quota achievement.
You should also:
- Be naturally curious with excellent discovery and closing skills
- Be motivated and creative – you’re often able to find alternative paths when barriers present themselves
- Be energized by ambiguity and able to create structure in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment
- Have experience selling to IT/DevOps (this is a plus, but not critical)
