<p><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/sevilla"><strong>Sevilla</strong></a> have parted ways with head coach <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/garcia-pimienta"><strong>Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta</strong></a> following a string of poor results in 2025, with club veteran Joaquin Caparros lined up for a third managerial stint.</p>
<p>Friday’s 1-0 loss to Valencia marked a fourth straight defeat for Los Nervionenses, leaving them 13th in La Liga.</p>
<p>With just three wins since the turn of the year, Sevilla’s board deemed action necessary amid growing fears of a late-season collapse.</p>
<p>Garcia Pimienta, who was appointed last summer after spells at <strong>Barcelona</strong>, Atletic and Las Palmas, never got Sevilla firing.</p>
<p>His exit comes after increasing internal pressure, which had mounted prior to the loss at Mestalla.</p>
<p>Relevo reports that Caparros will return as interim manager for the remainder of the season.</p>
<p>The 68-year-old previously stepped in during crisis moments in 2018 and 2019, and Sevilla will now bank on his experience once more to stabilize the team.</p>
<p>The Andalusians remain seven points clear of the relegation zone, but with fixtures against fellow strugglers Las Palmas, Alaves, Osasuna and Leganes still to come, the threat is far from over.</p>
<p>Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke, who joined Sevilla last summer, has struggled for form in an unsettled system under Garcia Pimienta and could benefit from a fresh approach under Caparros.</p>
<p>With seven games left, Caparros’ mission is clear: steer Sevilla to safety and restore order at a club that is set to appoint its sixth manager in just three years.</p>
