is committed to working with families and partners to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities &lpar;SEND&rpar;&period; This diverse service has responsibility for a range of important statutory educational work within Coventry&period; We are here to deliver the aspirational challenge set to us by young people with SEND and their families&colon; &&num;8216&semi;To Lift the Cloud of Limitation and enable them to enjoy an ordinary life&&num;8217&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> When Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission &lpar;CQC&rpar; completed a Local Area inspection of Coventry in October 2019&comma; they commended our &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;genuine passion and commitment to get things right for children and young people with SEND and their families”&semi; our respect for the &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;lived experiences of children and young people with SEND and their parents” and the &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;strong partnership between school settings and education service providers&&num;8217&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> We are currently expanding the service to meet a growing caseload&period; is accepting of all and is free from discrimination and bias&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> What is the job role&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> As an Education&comma; Health and Care Plan Coordinator you will be responsible for a caseload of pupils supporting families&comma; children and young people together with educational settings through the Education Health and Care Needs Assessment Process&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> You will also attend annual reviews within a range of educational settings&period; At all times you will be able to demonstrate a &&num;8216&semi;person centred&&num;8217&semi; approach which will enable parents&sol;carers&sol;young people to be fully involved throughout statutory processes&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> You will be able to produce high quality Education&comma; Health and Care Plans for children and young people across the 0-25 age range ensuring compliance with the Children&&num;8217&semi;s and Families Act 2014 and the Equality Act 2010&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service &lpar;DBS&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><b>Who are we looking for&quest;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> We are looking for a range of staff who have experience of school age education or Post 16 as we are expanding capacity within both age ranges&period; You will need to be highly literate&comma; an excellent communicator&comma; able to prioritise work streams in a busy environment&comma; able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including families&comma; children&comma; young people&comma; schools&comma; colleges&comma; health and social care&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> We are looking to recruit highly motivated&comma; person-centred professionals&period; Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate valuable experience of working in an inclusive role where you have demonstrated your commitment to children and young people with additional needs&period; You will have a good understanding of the 2014 SEND Reforms and the educational landscape&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> A key function of the role will be to co-ordinate the Education&comma; Health and Care needs assessment process and as a result to develop high quality EHC Plans&period;
