<p><a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/borussia-dortmund"><strong>Borussia Dortmund</strong></a> are facing concerns over the fitness of <strong>Chelsea</strong> loanee <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/carney-chukwuemeka"><strong>Carney Chukwuemeka</strong></a> ahead of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Lille on Tuesday night.</p>
<p>Chukwuemeka suffered a minor thigh injury during Dortmund’s 2-0 win over St. Pauli on Saturday, raising doubts about his availability for the crucial European fixture at Signal Iduna Park.</p>
<p>Dortmund manager Niko Kovac confirmed the midfielder trained individually on Monday but remains hopeful he can recover in time.</p>
<p>“He collided with someone in Hamburg and had slight problems with his thigh after the game,” Kovac said.</p>
<p>“He trained individually today, and we will see how it develops overnight.”</p>
<p>The 21-year-old struggled for game time at Chelsea this season before securing a winter loan move to Dortmund.</p>
<p>He failed to feature in the Premier League but played five matches in the UEFA Conference League and Carabao Cup.</p>
<p>Since arriving in Germany, Chukwuemeka has managed three appearances across the Bundesliga and Champions League, hoping to impress and reignite his career before the end of his loan spell.</p>
