Adventure Canada invites you to join our Management team. This position is located in Mississauga, Ontario, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Onsite, in person work is required for a minimum of three days a week. The Role: The Director of Sales works closely with the Senior Management team to drive business needs and expand existing business through technology, promotional efforts and sales channels. The Director of Sales will work to develop the sales group and groom a high-performing sales team, in addition to being responsible for overall sales. The Director of Sales is responsible for strategy development and the execution of short-term promotional cycles. An advanced comprehension and use of technology, automation and data management tools is essential. The Director of Sales is a leader and a mentor, building a positive, motivating work environment that celebrates team successes. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. Overarching duties and responsibilities: * Contribute to company thought leadership * Manage expedition sales and utilize marketing strategies to focus the sales efforts * Inventory management * Budget Management * Manage and resolve client concerns * Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the business * Prepare and present, the contribution, focus and activity of the sales team to company stakeholders * Cooperate with other departments, particularly marketing and operations, to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs * Direct and coach B to B account managers to ensure success in relationship management, effective use of technology and achieving sales targets * Work with the Sales manager to ensure quality, performance and sales and service excellence within the inside sales and client service workflows * Support a healthy company culture, encouraging independence, confidence, competence and solution focused work habits Skills & Experience Required * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) * 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a strong track record of building and leading high-performance teams * Project Management and Coaching Certificates or equivalent * TICO certification * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Teams. * Experience with CRMs, database management and cloud- based technology * Strong leadership skills, whereas it is evident that you can effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations * Positive attitude and exceptional communication skills * Adaptive and flexible * Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service * Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges * Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Knowledge of hospitality, and cruise specifically * Willing to travel on expeditions and other business travel. * Personal commitments towards lifelong education and implementing the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action are strong assets. * A love for travel and familiarity with Adventure Canada’s expedition destinations is desirable.
