What you′ll be doing:
Reporting to the Associate VP, Marketing & Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing & Communications works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This position helps to implement strategic digital marketing plans that drive engagement and strengthen donor relationships, acquire new donors and support overall communications at SHN Foundation.
Working with the Foundation team, hospital staff and SHN′s Corporate Communications team, the Manager is responsible for developing high-quality digital content for the Foundation′s various platforms. The Manager has an outstanding ability to prioritize competing projects in a fast-paced environment and complete a variety of tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Foundation′s rapidly growing brand and marketing initiatives – lead the development of the Foundation′s overall digital, social and influencer marketing strategies
2. Maintain brand on our digital platforms and execute marketing and communications initiatives, programs and campaigns.
3. Determine the strategy for and build high performing fundraising digital content for conversion through SHN Foundation′s comprehensive network of channels – website, events, social media, collateral, email, and advertising.
4. Drive the strategy and maintenance of SHN Foundation websites and other online properties to provide the best user experience to help drive action. This includes creating new pages, managing access, driving increased traffic, ensuring multi-device compatibility, and updating and creating new content where necessary.
5. Manage the relationship with website developers and other digital vendors.
6. Curate the Foundation′s online presence and manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) using webmaster tools including Google Search Console and Google Business.
7. Participate in mass email communications to our constituency to drive action.
8. Conduct digital analysis and reporting on social, digital ads, user journey and email performance and provide insightful recommendations on how best to optimize, test and adapt based on results.
9. Support the Foundation′s cross-functional teams (Community Development, Major Gifts, Stewardship, Annual Program) with digital strategies to drive mid-funnel and lower-funnel action (via digital media, website UX, SEM, SEO and CRM).
10. Stay current and provide thought leadership to the team on best practices in digital marketing including social media and audience recruitment and engagement.
11. Manage paid digital ads, SEO, SEM and proactively identify new opportunities to continuously improve campaign performance and drive action.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in communications, marketing, design, digital communications, or equivalent
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a marketing or communications role; within a not-for-profit environment is an asset
- Experience in the healthcare fundraising sector is an asset, particularly knowledge of fundraising principles
- Experience managing corporate social media channels (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube) and using social media management platforms (i.e., Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Strong familiarity with content management systems (i.e., WordPress, SharePoint), email marketing platforms (i.e., MailChimp), and other online software (i.e., Asana, Canva)
- Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including Google Analytics
- Familiarity with paid digital marketing, including the development of digital and social media advertisements
- Experience with UX optimization, A/B testing, donation form creation and testing, and audience segmentation strategies
Your competencies include:
- Demonstrated and comprehensive experience with digital advertising platforms and tools including but not limited to Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram Ads Manager
- Demonstrated experience managing digital projects including SEO/SEM optimization, email program management, web/email metrics and benchmarking, CRM and website integration, and national digital advertising campaigns
- Data savvy; experience using CMS and CRM systems for data management, content creation and campaign deployment
- Enthusiastic and collaborative team player, with willingness to learn and lead projects
- Excellent track record of work performance, attendance and punctuality and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrates values consistent with SHN′s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation
- Engages in ethical conduct and strives to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient/staff population and community
Asset:
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation (or working towards designation)
- Membership in a fundraising association, e.g. Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP), Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), and/or Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP)
- Project management certification/designation (PMP, CAPM)
