Online personality Daniel Regha has broken his silence over the arrest of influencer VeryDarkMan, directing a pointed message to GTBank and the EFCC.
He shared his reaction via a post on his page on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Regha’s statement comes amid continued silence from both GTBank and the EFCC regarding the circumstances surrounding VeryDarkMan’s arrest.
The influencer was reportedly taken into custody shortly after leaving a GTBank branch, allegedly by the EFCC. However, as of the time of this report, the agency has neither confirmed nor denied the arrest.
Similarly, GTBank is accused of collaborating with an agency in orchestrating the arrest, but the bank has yet to issue any official statement addressing or dismissing the claims.
In response to the ongoing controversy, Regha criticized both institutions for their silence and demanded transparency.
He wrote: “Neither GTBank nor the EFCC has released any statement regarding the reported arrest of VDM. They should address the situation.”
“Arresting someone is one thing, but the reported assault is another. Regardless of what he’s done, assault is something no one should stand for.”
“f he’s committed a punishable offense, follow due process and keep the public updated. This is ridiculous.”
