Job Description
As an individual contributor, you will provide legal and business expertise in the evaluation, development, and negotiation of commercial transactions, contracts, proposals, and quotes while ensuring compliance with current policies and procedures and minimizing contractual risk. French-English bilingual skills, highly desired.
Your role:
Use your bilingual (French-English) skills, to work with a team of Contracts Managers and interface with Legal, Risk, Finance, Sales, the Global Business Services team as well as other internal Philips’s customers and negotiate directly with external customers to create contract solutions that minimize risk and provide value to Philips and customers.
Partner with field personnel and internal departments to evaluate and negotiate contracts for sales/service (i.e., capital, consumables, Software as a Service (SaaS), service, consulting, etc.) as well as other related documents. Also, provide support to the customer fulfillment and proposal team for Request for Proposal’s (RFPs), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotes (RFQs).
Recommend and implement improvements of policies and processes to ensure proposals and contractual documents align with the company’s business controls, policies and procedures. Additionally, maintain contract files and update contract activity in Salesforce (SFDC) and other workflow tools. Advise field teams and management of contractual rights, obligations, and provide interpretation of terms and conditions identifying solutions.
You’re the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts (or a combination of experience and education).
Your skills include in MS Office; with the ability to learn and adapt to other programs such as Saleforce.com (SFDC), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and Lean methodology. Project management; as well as, solid analytical and negotiation skills, required.
You have a Bachelor’s degree (required), Paralegal, Certified Contract Management (CCM) [or other contract management certification], or J.D. desired.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this .
You’re an excellent communicator at many levels with strong presentation and interpersonal skills. You are also a well-organized multi-tasker, skilled at working in a fast-paced, high-energy deadline-driven environment, establishing priorities, gaining cooperation through persuasion to find solutions, and building consensus across functional areas, while managing various projects and setting priorities to achieve outcomes.
