What will you be doing?
This position will be joining a team of dedicated commercial consultants. The team’s core objective is to generate revenue for Circana and drive solutions that deliver growth for retailers by making recommendations on ranging and sales strategies. This is achieved via insightful analysis of econometric models and other analytic solutions based on EPOS and Loyalty data.
You will be responsible for supporting project pre-sales and management for our clients in UK & across EMEA markets and you will be involved in delivering a portfolio of different services that address sales drivers across the marketing mix.
Job Responsibilities
Solution Development:
- Support development of new business by designing and maintaining compelling selling stories and latest case studies to unlock opportunities within core client base and new client verticals.
- Recommend solution improvements and identify new analysis opportunities.
- Develop strong awareness and understanding of all Circana client solutions.
- Assist with training on the latest Circana analytics solutions.
Account and Project Management:
- Own project agreement process and be a focal point for keeping projects running to agreed timelines.
- Co-ordinate project deliveries, updates and check-ins and schedule with the required internal and external teams.
- Become a subject matter expert in relation to analytics solutions and demonstrate ability to understand and answer clients’ business issues.
- Drive senior level engagement and be comfortable presenting to various stakeholders.
- Working across a mix of retailers and wholesalers and supporting in analytics RFPs and wider pitches where required.
- Support with data analysis for ad-hoc projects, proof of concepts or ongoing deliveries.
Internal Management:
- Working with local and offshore delivery teams to advise on client projects.
- Working with various levels of the solution team to ensure that effective internal standard processes, training, and processes are followed.
- Providing support and coaching with client servicing team on Circana processes & methodologies, products & services.
Requirements
Functional Expertise and Experience
- Strong analytical, enquiring, insightful and strategic thinking abilities, preferably with an understanding of marketing, pricing and promotions.
- Solid, relevant market research and FMCG industry experience .
- Experience working across FMCG channels (retail, CPG and wholesale).
- Understanding of FMCG industry and trends: client business and needs, market trends and other areas of the business
- Expertise using loyalty/customer/transactional data at a granular level to derive insight.
- Understanding of analytical concepts such as price elasticity, promotional effectiveness, range optimisation and forecasting.
- A proven track record of interpreting data, developing meaningful insights and providing value added recommendations with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must have experience of working in data and insight-based roles, statistical background is desirable, but not essential.
- Speaking additional European languages is desirable, but not essential.
