Chelsea and AC Milan have officially confirmed a high-profile pre-season friendly at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 10, as part of preparations for the 2025/26 campaign.
The match will mark the first meeting between the two clubs since the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage, where Chelsea secured a double over the Rossoneri with 3-0 and 2-0 wins.
This summer’s encounter will serve as a key test for both sides ahead of their respective league openers.
Milan’s trip to London is part of an extensive pre-season schedule under returning manager Massimiliano Allegri.
The Rossoneri will also face Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool in Singapore and Hong Kong, respectively, before heading to Australia to play Perth Glory.
A clash against Leeds United in Dublin on August 9, just a day before the Chelsea.
“This consecutive weekend of top-level opposition will give coach Allegri’s squad an excellent test before the start of the 2025/26 season,” read an official statement from AC Milan.
Chelsea, managed by Enzo Maresca, will also be looking to assess his bloated squad during the tie as they prepare for a fresh Premier League campaign.
