A lady has shared a shocking experience about what happened to her hand after waking up from a dream in which she dipped it into hot water.

In a post on her TikTok page, she uploaded a video showing her hand, revealing visible changes that occurred overnight.

The caption of her post read: “I had a dream that I dipped my hand into hot water, and I woke up to this.”

A businesswoman recently had a heated disagreement with a client who attempted to pay for her service at a hotel using multiple bundles of ₦10 notes.

She firmly rejected the payment, insisting on receiving “real money” or a bank transfer instead.

The incident, which has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), shows the businesswoman expressing her frustration.

She made it clear that she would not accept the cash in such a low denomination.

“Where do I want to spend this?” she questioned. “It’s either you give me real money or you do a transfer. Let me see the alert before I leave here, else you wouldn’t like it. I know it’s real money, but what do I do with it? How do I spend it?”  

Despite the client insisting there was nothing wrong with the money and urging her to accept it, she stood her ground.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Kaduna State University has announced plans to commence an indefinite strike on February 11 due to unresolved welfare issues with the state government.

In a formal notice signed by Chairman Peter Adamu and Secretary Peter Waziri, the union sought approval from its national body for the industrial action.

According to the letter obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday, the strike stems from the Kaduna State Government’s failure to address several grievances raised by lecturers.

Among the key concerns are the non-payment of five months’ salaries from May to September 2022, 60 percent of September 2017 salaries, and other withheld wages. The union also cited the non-payment of Earned Academic Allowances from 2015 to 2020 and outstanding funds for the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme from 2016 to 2023.

Additionally, ASUU raised concerns over unremitted pension contributions from 2009 to 2019, unpaid promotion arrears from 2019 to 2023, and unresolved Group Life Insurance payments for deceased staff since 2020.

The union recalled a meeting with Governor Uba Sani on August 17, 2024, where he assured them that their outstanding entitlements would be paid. Despite a follow-up letter on August 20, 2024, and further appeals in October and December 2024, no progress has been made.

A subsequent meeting on December 17, 2024, where the governor promised that payment modalities would be implemented within three weeks, also ended without any action.

On January 17, 2025, ASUU issued a reminder to the governor, urging immediate intervention to prevent industrial action. However, with no response from the state government, the union has resolved to proceed with the strike.

ASUU has stated that the strike will remain in effect indefinitely until all outstanding welfare issues are addressed.

A 19-year-old boy has reportedly shot his friend for losing a 210-day TikTok streak, according to a post on a popular social media platform.

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken a swipe at fellow artist Olamide following reports that Asake has allegedly parted ways with YBNL.

In a viral video making rounds on X (formerly Twitter), Portable reflected on the moment Olamide gave him a verse on the hit song Zazzu.

He expressed disappointment that Olamide chose to sign Asake over him, only for Asake to now abandon him.

Speaking in the video, Portable said:  

“Olamide, you used Asake to tackle me in the industry. You wanted to cancel me, so I ran to Sango. From Sango, I toured the world. Now look at the person you lifted above me—he has dumped you without even saying thank you. You took away my producer, my promoter, Kogbagidi, and my dancer.”
