About the Role
iCapital is seeking a Business Manager for its International Client Solutions team to further support our growing business and expansion strategy. This cross-functional role requires an in-depth knowledge of Alternative Investments, including Private Markets and Hedge Funds, understanding of access fund structures and processes, and excellent presentation skills. The role requires close interaction with senior management and a variety of functional teams such as Product, Legal, Compliance, Fund Finance, Tax, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, and Sub-Doc and Sales Teams. In concert with these teams, this position will help to support a coordinated and consistent service offering for GPs and Wealth Manager clients alike and will support the local and international teams to drive strategic initiatives. Responsibilities
- Support the Canadian Market head and other senior stakeholders on a wide range of business-critical topics with the aim of driving forward key strategic initiatives across the business.
- Assist in the coordination of the access fund, product rollouts, and track open deliverables across a number of teams (e.g. legal deliverables on contracts, periodic investor tracking reports, pre and post fund raising closing items, etc.).
- Liaise with a variety of internal functional teams (Product Origination, Legal, Tax, Fund Finance, Investor Relations, Client Ops, Regulatory and Compliance etc.) to ensure efficiency, consistency, and accountability on project timelines.
- Provide key project management and oversight on a wide variety of sales related and local operational related initiatives originating within Canada and/or outside of Canada but with Canadian deliverables (e.g. regular updates and reports on Canada sales targets and pipeline, including assistance with quarterly business update reports, track new wealth distributors, track distribution agreements, product shelf analysis at dealers, competitor analysis, prospect updates, fund master submissions, etc.).
- Assist in a variety of business development, sales, and marketing initiatives across a range of targeted channels locally from dealers, RIA, GPs, Single and multi-family offices and institutional channels (consultants, E&F, and pension plans).
- Work alongside Canadian Market head and senior regional and global team executives to develop and execute the strategic planning for the Executive Committee including budgeting of KPIs and tracking of strategic initiatives.
- Build strong internal relationships within iCapital and work closely with other teams globally to deliver the best business outcomes and build successful long term client relationships
Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials in Finance or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant working experience in a business management, strategy consulting and/or business development capacity
- Deep understanding and experience within Asset- and Wealth Management industries, ideally with exposure to Private Markets
- Analytical thinker with numerical skills, strong project management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience in Salesforce is a plus
- Experience with product development and operations is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to present complex matters in simple messaging
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Appetite to work in a fast growing and demanding environment, self-motivated with a hands-on attitude and ability to work independently
- Fluency in English required, French language skills a plus
