A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to raise alarm after allegedly being assaulted by a Bolt driver during a ride dispute.
In a post shared via her X (formerly Twitter) page, the lady, identified as @Ewatomilola_A, accused the driver of breaking her car mirror and refusing to return a bag containing two pairs of sneakers she mistakenly left in his vehicle.
Detailing her ordeal, she wrote: “Hello @boltapp, I ordered a ride from Arena on Friday and up till today, I’ve not recovered from the experience.”
“The driver broke the new mirror I just bought and charged me a ridiculous amount for the ride. I also forgot a bag containing two sneakers in his car, and he’s refusing to return it.”
She added that despite several attempts to reach him, the driver kept ending her calls:
“I’ve called him several times, and he just keeps hanging up on me. Please help me retrieve my sneakers. That’s his plate number and the mirror he broke. That’s him in the video shouting ‘he no pay him.’ @boltapp help!!!”
According to her post, the incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over the ride fare.
