Barcelona reclaimed top spot in La Liga with a dominant 4-0 win over Real Sociedad at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on Sunday.
The match took a dramatic turn early on as Aritz Elustondo was sent off in the 17th minute for a last-man foul on Dani Olmo, giving Barcelona an advantage they capitalized on quickly.
Gerard Martin broke the deadlock in the 25th minute, volleying home his first professional goal after a well-placed assist from Olmo.
Minutes later, another Barcelona youngster, Marc Casado, also got his first goal for the club, doubling the lead before halftime.
The Catalans continued their dominance in the second half, with Ronald Araujo making it 3-0 in the 55th minute.
The Uruguayan defender then turned provider, as his shot was deflected into the net by Robert Lewandowski to seal a 4-0 rout.
The victory puts Barcelona back on top of La Liga, overtaking Atletico Madrid, who had won their match on Saturday.
