Tecno released Phantom 8 in Dubai on the 22nd of October, Barely a month after that, Infinix Mobility released her own Infinix Zero 5. The flagship devices came with almost the same specs like the camera with the same 12MP main +13MP telephoto dual rear cameras set up.
Its formally the clash of the dual rear cameras, as they both tried the drifting component on their leaders individually. Is it accurate to say that you are a fanatic of Infinix and Tecno cell phones? It is safe to say that you are thinking about on getting any of the two telephones, yet don’t know which is better? Both flagships have a unique look, but we have to take off our cap for Tecno. They really brought it with the Phantom 8, the device, in my opinion, can compete with the likes of Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 in terms of design. Infinix, on the other hand, didn’t do much justice with the Zero 5 in terms of design.

Key Similarities-Tecno Phantom 8 & Infinix Zero 5
From above table you can see the major differences. Now, we can take a look at the similarities of the two smartphone, the key items that both phones share.
- They both comes with same rear dual camera: 12 megapixels wide-angle + 13 megapixels’ telephoto, f/2.0 large aperture, Sony IMX386, OIS, Laser auto focus, Optical Zoom, dual LED flash Metal unibody
- The Processor is also the same Octa-core, Mediatek Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.6 GHz
- Both have Screen Resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel.
- Both have 6 GB RAM
Note: the Zero 5 has a bigger display with the same screen resolution of Phantom 8
Looking at the differences, it is my opinion that the Infinix Zero 5 seems to give more value for money than the Phantom 8.
It has Slightly bigger display despite they both have the same screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel, bigger battery of 4350mAh to 3500mAh. If you are focusing on the Africa market, the battery capacity on the device is very important also Lower selling price. Though, Phantom 8 has an edge of 20 megapixels selfie camera and that may as well not be real as both give clearer pictures. Also, the Phantom 8, can get up to 2TB with via a microSD card storage capacity.
Meanwhile, If you can overlook the battery capacity difference and the screen display, Phantom 8 could be your choice and ready to pay more as well.
